“I’m sorry,” may pinalidad na tugon ni Ryanne. Alam niyang ‘Let me have you on my bed’ ang ibig nitong sabihin. Wala sa bokabularyo niya ang casual sex, kahit ito pa ang lalaking minahal niya nang halos buong buhay niya.
“I don’t believe this.” Napailing ito. “Why, Rye? Why can’t you give us a chance? You’re not being fair to both of us!”
Pinigil niya ang luhang namumuo sa mga mata. Siya pa ba ang unfair? “G-ganoon talaga, Cole. There are things that you can’t have… kahit ano pa’ng gawin mo.”
Ryanne was telling that same line to herself. She could not have Cole’s love. Hula niya, it was not meant for her.
